Entrepreneurs go for gut

As they journey on the path of entrepreneurship, many successful businesspeople would identify their intuition or gut instincts as their compass and mentor. Without it, they wouldn’t have achieved the “unachievable.”

“Don’t let the noise of other people drown out your inner voice. And most importantly, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become,” advises Steve Jobs, Apple Computer CEO

So what is intuition or gut? For some it is a feeling in their stomach, for others, a compelling vision, and for more its an inner voice; all of which are promoting with conviction, a course of action.

It works best when there is no emotional connection to its finding.

Follow your Gut – Be an Entrepreneur!

Nurturing your intuition allows you to connect with intelligence far greater than what’s available through your conscious mind. Disregarding it is the equivalent of cutting off your blood supply i.e. cutting off life’s messages in the context of truly reaching your potential in life.
In 1996 with a poor academic record in English, no background in writing and told I would not succeed by two award winning journalists ( not best selling authors), I decided to honour my intuition and commit to writing a Best Selling Book. Similar to many potential entrepreneurs it felt right to follow my gut but it didn’t make much sense and I didn’t have the know how. A few years later, I had sold approximately 15,000 copies.

Recently while reflecting on my time as a marketing consultant, I realised that very few projects whose market feasibility I had to check got the green light. I always found enough reasons why the business shouldn’t start. If I had applied the same level of analysis to the feasibility of the book, I wouldn’t have pursued this avenue either.

In the context of entrepreneurship, too often people disregard their gut in favour of the “practical, left brained approach” more often than not to the detriment of their project.

I now know that there isn’t a dream in the world that you and I couldn’t conjure up enough reasons why we shouldn’t proceed with it. Knowledge always gives you enough reasons not to act which is why I advise at all times to honour your gut in the knowledge that you will always end up in a place you describe and recognize as better than your starting point.

Oftentimes people don’t choose to go for gut because quite simply it doesn’t come with a pension plan. In the context of you reaching your potential and achieving meaning and significance, pain/discomfort will be part of the package. However this is nothing compared to the pleasure you will have at living and working in your own dream business.

Enjoy the trip.

“The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honours the servant and has forgotten the gift.” Einstein

Enlightenment: Your 7 days program to Positive thinking

I'm sure you have a bright idea hidden somewhere in the back of your mind that you just can't wait to test out. Of course you're not the only one with the bright idea. So what motivates you to churn those creative, or even inspiring juices to its utmost flavor?

It's always best to set up a personal goal where you can accomplish the most in record time, maybe like mowing the lawn in an hour before the big game on TV. A correct and positive attitude in whatever you do will make things easier, and even enjoyable.

Here are some tips to make it through the week even if you're just sitting in your favorite couch. An idea takes time to form in your head and is always at work while you are busy sitting.

Having a bit of positive thinking can help you realize things that are never thought possible. Thinking big is indeed the American Way and that what made our country prosperous.

1. Take passionate action towards living your life by design. Talk is cheap. Action = deposits in the bank of a passionately authentic future. Without it, passion is void.

This is a perfect example where dreams are made of where you start by tinkering with your mind, then with your hands. And if the idea weakens, you can always go back to it later until you finish it.

2. Commit to yourself as well as those you love to create powerfully a life you can love. Instead of reacting, commit to creating from your heart and soul, out of love rather than fear. The American Dream will always be there, but a dream will still be a dream without motion. Be amazed as the transformation begins.

3. Recognize and embrace the thought that each moment is perfect regardless of its outcome. Every time you hit on something that may appear too extreme, why not give it a shot and see if it will work. You will be surprised to see of there are other ways to get the task done in time. If you are not pleased with the outcome, decide to use that moment to learn from and make the appropriate shift.

4. Dwell completely in a place of gratitude. Learn to utilize what you have in your hands and make use of it in the most constructive way. Slipping into neediness will become less of a habit when you repeatedly shift towards gratitude, away from poverty consciousness.

5. Use a Passion Formula of Recognize/Reevaluate/Restore in place of the Shoulda/Woulda/Coulda whirlwind. The former is based in increased knowledge and abundance while the latter focuses on scarcity and lack. As you face people or tasks that may seem harder than scaling the summit of the Himalayas, allow yourself to realize that the task is just as important as giving out orders to your subordinates. You would rather be richly passionate!

6. Keep humor at the forefront of thought, laughing at and with yourself when possible. You may find yourself quite entertaining when you loosen up! I am yet to see a comedian ever go hungry even though his jokes are as 'old as great-grandma'. Life has so much to offer to allow you to mope around in self pity. Humor is very attractive, very passionate: life-giving.

7. Believe that you are the architect of your destiny. No one can take your passionate future from you except for you! Create your life authentically. As long as there's still breath in your body, there is no end to how much you can accomplish in a lifetime. The concept of thinking big is all about enjoying your work, which would lead to celebrate a discovery that is born within your hands. Watch everything flow into place with perfect, passionate precision.

It's interesting how people get wallowed up by something trivial as learning to use a computer, when nowadays that top computer companies are manufacturing software that even the kids can do it. I don't mean to be condescending, but that's the idea of not having any positive thinking in your life-you'll just end up as a dim bulb in a dark corner. So instead of subjecting yourself to what you will be doomed for, make your path by taking the first step with a positive attitude.

Energy Crisis

If we look at the current “energy” crisis from a different perspective- there is valuable information available for us to access and apply to our lives. What could soaring gas/oil prices, limited production and increased demand represent on a “metaphysical” level? What is the deeper meaning to the political and corporate power struggles taking place? Why is there so much conflict and strife around the topic of “energy?”

The intelligence that created and guides this Universe is speaking to us. There is an abundance of wisdom calling for our attention.

What does “fuel” represent? It is what we need to move. It powers our cars, homes and airplanes. It is an essential ingredient to our lives at this moment. It is “energy”. Just as the world requires energy – so do we. We are complex energy systems that require fuel to exist. However, it is not gas/oil that we require- it is energy of a different type. Our existence is animated by an unseen and powerful energy. We do not know exactly what it is- but we know it exist.

Are we not experiencing a similar “energy crisis” within our own lives? There is so much going on around us in the outer “world” that our own personal and spiritual energy has become precious and scarce. Our attention is constantly being drawn “outward” and we expend vast amounts of energy just to get through the day. Our own energy has become compromised by stress, worry, anxiety and fear. The cost of continuing along this path is exorbitant. It is costing us our health, well-being and happiness. We are caught up in our own “power struggles” and regardless of how it is manifesting in our individual circumstances – it is a struggle for our own energy. We feel empty and depleted so we desperately try to control the world around us, hoping this will fill our emptiness. We allow fear to drive us around in circles- wasting more and more energy. The ways in which we do this are endless and the “world” will constantly remind you of the “lie” that you are powerless.

We are constantly bombarded with images of fear, lack and inadequacy. Turn on the television and you will hear such uplifting messages such as; you are too old and/or too fat and your teeth are not white enough. You will probably have a heart attack or get cancer or some other dreadful disease. You are probably depressed and both you and your house need a makeover. If you are having financial problems, you can pay only $39.99 to purchase a “system” that will make you a millionaire in a few short months. If your husband and/or boyfriend does not buy you a 5-carat diamond ring, then he does not love you. The “Christian” stations are selling redemption and salvation; by becoming a prayer partner for $57.00 a month you are assured of God’s blessings. Oh yeah, just in case you don’t have enough to worry about- the devil is out to get you. Take a moment and understand that companies pay big money for airtime and their only objective is to sell you something. If you enjoy watching television, then by all means watch it- but do not base who you are or how you feel about yourself by what you see and hear.

We are constantly picking on others and ourselves. Our attention is drawn outward and focused on what is “wrong”. No wonder there is an energy shortage. What is happening in the world is a manifestation of what is happening in our spirits. The wisdom of the Universe is trying to tell you something.

You are not powerless, alone or empty. There is always an unlimited supply of energy available to you at any time. Fighting with your spouse, friends, family, co-workers or business partner will not “fill you up”. Telling someone what is wrong with him or her or his or her behavior will not bring you peace. Beating up on yourself or dwelling on past “mistakes” will not recharge your energy. Your attempt to control situations out of anger and a quest for “control” will only create further conflict.

Call upon the awesome and incredible power and love of God (by whichever terminology you choose). The wisdom that created you, did not forget about you. Perhaps you have separated yourself? There is an abundance of “fuel” available, all you have to do is recognize this truth and ask. It is really that simple. The energy crisis in the world is only a mirror of the crisis within us. Recharge your energy by calling on the endless supply that is available to fill your life with peace, love and blessings. If there are situations in your life that you wish to change or create, then do so with a peaceful heart and spirit. By handling situations from a place of love, you do not deplete the energy of others or yourself.

Dear God (Universe, Goddess, Father/Mother God, All that is)

Fill me with love, peace and wisdom.
Pour your light into my life so my eyes will be opened to the truth.
Help me to see my own power, beauty and uniqueness.
Fuel my spirit to stay connected to the unlimited supply of creative energy that is always pouring forth.
Give me the knowing, that by partnering with the Divine- I am strong and powerful.
Fill my mind with your thoughts.
Help me to release guilt, anger, worry and fear.
As my heart opens- so do my spiritual eyes and I release all judgments about others and myself.
As my connection to the Divine grows- I am an observer of the world around me.
I have the power to choose how to use my energy for the highest good of all concerned.
I am no longer afraid of the false projections shown to me.
Amen (so it is)

Detours

Copyright 2006 Ingela Berger

An excerpt from "The Role of Your Life".

Life often takes us on detours. Let me guess; when you look back you have come a long way to get to where you are today. Sometimes you feel that, after all, you have learned a lot on your long journey, but you keep wondering why you didn’t choose a different path that specific time in the past, and you regret that you weren’t wiser.

Many times we feel regret. The detour we are on is so unnecessary because we know what we once wanted. We can picture ourselves in surroundings that could have been so good. But many of the detours may be necessary. We just don’t learn some things until we have made painful experiences. We could call the detour an unconscious maturity process. We grow, but we do not know how or into what. That can be a costly way to reach maturity and development. Some of us do not seem to learn anything despite all the difficulties we go through. But if we discover a way to consciously work for personal growth, if we take hold of our own development and don’t let it lie in the hands of unpredicted occurrences, we can face our crises and sufferings with open eyes, and hence seize the possibilities of development that they give us. We can also avoid some of the detours further on along the road.

Henrik Ibsen’s “Peer Gynt" reminds us of the importance of not letting ourselves down, not choosing these unnecessary detours. He reminds us of the questions we have to ask ourselves: Who am I? What do I really want with my life? Peer Gynt was a man who took many long detours in his life. He fooled his mother, his friends, his beloved Solveig, and himself. He went through life without really living it. When things were too difficult, he fled; from others and from himself. He joked and jested about the serious things that he was terrified of, and made himself and others some real trouble. Peer Gynt walked “roundabout” his own life, bragging, blaming others, and taking no responsibility for the people who placed hope in him. A bad conscience followed him in the shape of a troll, but he kept fleeing away, putting off all problems to the future. After many years and as many dearly bought experiences, he was reminded of his mortality in an accident at sea. In a key scene he peels the symbolic onion, peel by peel, from the outside in. He then realizes who he really is and finally he returns to the waiting and forgiving Solveig.

Peer Gynt finally asked himself the important question: Who am I? One wonders if he would have found his answers sooner, had he listened to his dear mother Aase’s mild admonitions in time. Maybe he could have spared some agony and pain.

Life doesn’t have to be constant detours and labyrinths. We can teach ourselves a better way of living. We can steer our own development into a desired direction. I want to suggest that there is a way that is right for you. I believe you can learn how to find it. I cannot find it for you. I can give you the tools you need, but you have to do the job. I also believe that there constantly will be new chances and opportunities for us to choose direction. There isn’t just one right way for me in life. If I miss a side road there will most likely be another one further along the road. There will also be side roads that will mislead us, and it’s not always easy to decide which the best road is in advance.

Finding the way to ourselves and to the inner resources and qualities that we all possess, learning how to use them to grow and develop, and sharing them with other people, those are great tasks and challenges in life. At every new crossroad we have a new opportunity to do just that. Let’s not miss these opportunities over and over again, like Peer Gynt did.

Improve Memory Tips

This article will review the use and potential of using mnemonics tactics to increase and improve memory capabilities and better memory in general. In many studies it has been shown that mnemonics have three fundamental principles underlying the use of mnemonics are imagination, association and location. By using mnemonics there is a good chance of improving your memory. These three principals, association, imagination and location can be brought to work together, and you can use these principles to generate powerful mnemonic systems.

Working together, the principals of association, imagination and location can be used to generate powerful mnemonic systems. Hopefully once you have absorbed and applied these techniques you will understand how to design and apply these principles to your own field to design your own powerful, sophisticated recall systems. Lets start by a short review of the principals involved.

Association is the method by which you link a thing to be remembered to a method of remembering it. Although association techniques are different and use the same principals, you should try and use what you know works best for you, thus it is suggested that you implant your own associations rather than adopting a foreign system. You can you association by doing these following things; tying or linking a thing to be placed on top of the associated object, penetrating into each other, Merging together, Wrapping around each other, Rotating around each other or dancing together, Being attached to the same color, smell, shape, or feeling

Imagination in memory is used to create the links and associations needed to create effective memory techniques, imagination is the way in which you use your mind to create the links that have the most meaning for you. There is a natural difference between people since images that created will have less power and impact on you, because they reflect the way in which we think. The more strongly you imagine and visualize a situation, the more effectively it will stick in your mind for later recall. Mnemonic imagination can be as violent, vivid, or sensual as you like, as long as it helps you to remember what needs to be remembered.

The third principal and the last one is location. Location provides you with two things: a coherent context, this means that you have a context into which information can be placed so that it hangs together, and a way of separating one mnemonic from another: e.g. by setting one mnemonic in one bus seat, I can separate it from a similar mnemonic located in the back of the same bus. Location spices up your memory and provides context and texture to your mnemonics, and protects and prevents them from being confused with similar mnemonics. Setting one mnemonic with visualizations in the stadium in Milan, Italy and another similar mnemonic with images of a stadium in London, England allows us to separate them with no danger of confusion.

So using the three fundamentals of Association, Imagination and Location you can design images that strongly link things with the links between themselves and other things, in a context that allows you to recall those images in a way that does not conflict with other images and associations.

Understanding The Different Dream Archetypes

The word archetype is actually derived from the Latin and Greek languages, but the world of psychiatry, particularly the work of Carl Jung, is what brought the word into common usage.

Simply stated, an archetype is a prototype, or an original model. An archetype can also be used to mean the ideal example of a type.

Carl Jung used the word archetype to mean an instinct pattern of thought or imagery that was derived from collective experience. Jung believed in the existence of the collective unconscious – that is that people are born knowing things learned from their ancestors.

There are several archetypes used in dream interpretation.

One of the most common of these archetypes is that of the child.

The child is quite a common symbol in dreams, and it is probably the most easily recognized archetypes. After all, everyone can remember what it was like to be a child – the freedom of being a child, the unconditional love received from parents, the laughter and the innocence of the imagination.

In the world of dreams, the child reminds us of our past and our childhood. Dreams involving children, or dreaming of ourselves as children, often symbolizes an unconscious desire to go back to a simpler time. People in need of unconditional love often dream of being children or being surrounded by children.

Every psychology student is familiar with the concept of the inner child, the part of everyone that refuses to grow up, and is constantly in need of encouragement, comfort and unconditional love.

There are several other child archetypes and metaphors, and one of the most powerful of these is the Divine Child. The Divine Child archetype is often encountered in mythology, and there are examples of the Divine Child in almost every major religion and belief system in the world. This worldwide appearance is one of the hallmarks of a true archetype.

The Wounded Child, like the Divine Child, is also an archetype that is seen in cultures and religions all over the world. The wounded child archetype is most closely associated with children who have been neglected or abused. Dreaming of a wounded child, or dreaming of yourself as a wounded child, is often the manifestation of a desire for a loving, wonderful childhood.

In addition, the Wounded Child archetype may appear when you are facing something that reminds you of being a Wounded Child. For instance, being blamed for something you did not do at work can take you back to the times a parent treated you unfairly. Therefore, such a negative event in the workplace could trigger the appearance of the Wounded Child archetype in a dream.

There is no question that children are powerful dream symbols, and dreams about children can have many interpretations. When interpreting any dream, it is always important to consider the context of the dream, and to take it into account when examining the dream.

Recurring dreams involving children can have their own meanings as well, and they can often be triggered by memories of childhood. Often a return to a hometown, a grade school reunion, or running into a childhood friend you have not seen in years, can trigger dreams of being a child again. These types of dreams are among the most common in the world of dream interpretation.

Put Some Additional Self Improvement Link To Your Site... Benefits Everyone...

As a Webmaster, you are forever searching for ways to make more money from your website. One of the better ways to do this is to add or link some self improvement concepts into the contents.

Many webmasters have found that there are a few key programs they can add on their sites for which they can honestly expect to make a few extra dollars, a few hundred extra dollars, and in some cases, a few thousand extra dollars every month.

The trick to linking income from third-party programs is to carefully select programs that are relevant to your site visitors, while insuring that the program you promote does not directly compete with your own offerings.

If you are giving something to your visitors that they will find useful, above and beyond your normal offerings that is considered an "added value" item. Not only will it give your customers something they appreciate, it will help them grow closer to you as a business owner. That way, there will appear a link between you and the customers to pave the way for improvement.

This is helpful in accelerating the trust level that your customers have with you and your business which can only serve you well over the long term. By adding this foundation of trust, your visitors will come back to your site and buy from you again because they know that they can trust you to treat them well.

On the web, more so than in brick-and-mortar, the trust factor is the most important hurdle that the small business owner must overcome with his potential customers. There are so many scams and rip-offs on the web, that an honest soul is especially appreciated.

It is important to select your "added value" offerings based on the interests of your web site visitors. The closer your offerings are to the needs of your target market, the more successful you will become selling your added value products.

If your website is concerned with self-improvement, self-esteem, dating, relationships, love or marriage, then you could do very well for yourself promoting the e-book, "How To Identify Your Soulmate."

Love relationships are failing in an alarming rate. In order to help as many people find happiness and self improvement. Years of research on love relationships would not be enough to understand these things.

Why do some fail and why some succeed?

No matter the specifics of the situation the reader may be in, "How To Identify Your Soulmate" can assist people in their quest to achieve success in their love relationships.

Products and services, which are relevant to the people who already visit your website and do not conflict or compete with your current offerings, are ideally suited to allow you to deliver added value offerings to your visitors.

These added offerings will help you to build the trust level that your visitors have with you. Not to mention that they will also help you add new layers of profitability to your website.

In the end, you should always strive to prepare your ezine or website to deliver more dollars. Target those people who want to have more than just material things in life. Add self improvement links to what you have already.

These added links and information would be your perfect vehicles to take you where you want to go.
